This is going to be a demonstration for an Amigurumi cube
I have a chain 3, now I'm going to join
Chain one and do twelve single crochet in the loop
Now I want to get a contrasting color
to mark my first single crochet
Round 2 I'm going to do one single crochet
in each of the next two stitches and three in the same stitch
to create my corner increase
and I repeat that 3 more times
I do one single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches
and 3 in the corner to increase
One single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches
and 3 in the corner to increase
Round 3 I'm going to do one single crochet
in each of the next 4 stitches
and then I'm going to do my increase of 3 in the same stitch
I'm going to do one single crochet in each of the next 4 stitches
and 3 in the same stitch
one single crochet in each of the next 4 stitches
3 in the same stitch
one single crochet in each of the next 4 stitches
and 3 in the same stitch
now you can see I've created a square
Now I'm just going to keep doing single crochets
until I get my project as large as I want it to be
It might be a cube, a square, um, a rectangle
but you just keep crocheting until you get it
as large as you want it to be or as long as you want it to be
and if you wanted to make your square larger
you would do the same thing and make sure you increase
in your corners.
