I'm Camille Bungayan,
working G4S director of administration for
California and Hawaii region. My name is Piero Romani, I am the chief
technology officer and vice president for eastern region for
Secure Solutions Canada. Marlene Brancovic and I am the senior
director of payroll for the G4S Secure Solutions
in North America. I thought it was great, as far as
the courses that I've taken, you know, given some
empowerment and things and skills and experience I can actually
take to the next level. The fact that the curriculum has such
a broad scope of courses they kinda covered.
And roles and responsibilities that we might be doing
on a day to day basis, I thought was really good. The material was very
appropriate to our work responsibilities. It gave us greater
vision, greater academic understanding, of theory
behind,
behind team building, behind change management, so
those were all really great experiences.
I have a couple of favorite but I guess it would be developing
an agenda for change, which has really made a big impact on our
project that we've been working on here. I really enjoyed the change management
related courses.
But I think one of the ones I got the most use out of was the
mining collective intelligence. It's because we're
in a situation now at work where our company's, you know,
trying to become
the next generation of company.
And we have so much knowledge locked in people's heads that sometimes it's
like pulling,
pulling nails to try and get that out of their heads and I think
that course gave us, gave me some really good ideas for
helping people brainstorm and get their ideas on the table.
I would have to say that the scenario planning was my favorite
because it really stretched my way of thinking about the future.
The courses have given me some new ideas and new perspectives
on how to approach situations that I come across almost every day.
It's really raised my consciousness about the importance
of gaining
allies when change has to be made.
And how to reflect as a leader, how to be self aware as a
leader and
just the importance of building those coalitions and finding the collaborative
work effort. Take always really to me would be the people
that I've worked with over the last few months. And obviously the course that
I've taken, from the Cornell courses, negotiation
courses, and really just the new skills that I've learned throughout
the whole program.
I would say that people should embrace learning because even
if you are
out of school for quite a while, you're in a job environment.
Learning is a wonderful opportunity.
It keeps you current, it keeps you sharp, it helps you in so
many facets of life, and to treat it as a serious undertaking,
something you can enjoy, but definitely something you should
commit time and effort to. Take the time, go through the material
go through the content, learn it, don't just go through it.
And,
you know working within a team environment is gonna be a fantastic
experience. So try and leverage the skills of the people that you're working with.
Dedication, drive, and a lot of hard work.
