Hi! My name is Richard Reavis. I am co-owner of Black Jungle Terrarium Supply and I am
here today on behalf of expertvillage.com to discuss the feeding and supplementation
of poison dart frogs. There are a variety of different feeder insects available to the
average hobbyist to offer to their dart frogs. Some of the most common are the flightless
fruit flies; however, crickets from pinhead to larger sizes are also a good choice; sprintails,
rather tropical or temperament or ideal for tiny species. Another good choice is the Phoenix
worm which is the larvae of the soldier fly and another grub that is also suitable is
the larvae of the flower beetles. Lastly, the wax worms are another popular choice and
can also be cultured easily at home.
