First, on a film shoot,
I had a condo in Saint-Emilion,
I was at the center of the village,
and, at the bottom of the building, we had a cellar.
So, every evening, we would come home
with Jacques Gamblin,
we were shooting a movie
called "the Irréductibles",
We were shooting close to Libourne,
not far,
and, almost every evening,
we would come home, go through the cellar,
take a bottle,
decant it,
we worked on our movie scripts for the next day.
It's an enjoyable process, wine,
I, personally, really like wine
I'm very very fond of wine,
I can say...
Saint-Emilion, particularly,
because, I know a lot about wine
There are many châteaux,
properties that I like a lot.
What is similar
between a wine and a movie,
is that at the beginning, we're alone
when you work on a movie,
in any case, it's a small crew.
Whether for movies,
the team that works on the sets,
spotting, scriptwriting,
or maybe there
on taking care of the vineyard,
the land,
you clean the wine cellars, you prepare,
there is a preparation,
in order to deliver something...
to the public.
And, in fact, for wine, it's the same thing,
there is a big part of work,
which is a bit hidden,
always a bit secret,
and then, after, the bottle comes out
and then the movie is launched too and, then,
people share it together,
drink it alone at home...
That's the way it is.
You know, it's very close
to the way we make a movie.
