I purchased a purse at a store that had a tag with a price on it and I found out later
that they overcharged me what the purchase price was. So when I argued with them and
argued with my credit card company, they refused to reimburse me for the difference so I made
a complaint with the Consumer Affairs. I did it online. And within about a month or so,
I received a call from the store and they told me that they will refund me the difference.
I would tell every New Yorker that there are government agencies like the Department of
Consumer Affairs that are out there and are free; that you can use to help you resolve
complaints. That you don’t have to go to a lawyer to get your issue resolved. It worked
wonderfully; I got my money back in no time at all.
