Training is serious. But KATUSA Sergeant Park Ju In tells us how
a unit in Korea is making Sergeant's Time fun.
All right, let's rock it. Let's go. Today we actually came as a team,
as a company, to start something different for Sergeant's Time Training.
[Ju In] 169 soldiers are the first to conduct Sergeant's Time Training
at the paintball range. They're here to learn some important skills.
[Nauta] What we did was we came out to show some of the soldiers
what type of tactics, techniques and procedures that we usually deal with,
like if were deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan. [Ju In] Participants fight in two teams.
The main objective is to capture the flag in the middle of the field.
The key to win: teamwork. [Nauta] One of the things that we actually
did as a team is to ensure that every single person knew
what they had to do in order to accomplish the mission as a whole.
[Ju In] Training like this not only helps soldiers learn basic infantry tactics
but is designed to help boost their morale.
