Hello and welcome to another edition of the Hermes Gazette.
Signing off.
The date of this broadcast is:
October 8, 2009
I am your host, Hermes.
And I am Iris.
Again, we are tech enthusiasts who are commissioned by Zeus,
to deliver some Tech Info,
as well as community info whenever we get wind of it.
On to the tech news.
Microsoft advised users on Monday to reset their Hotmail
passwords, if they believed they might have been a victim of a
phishing campaign that coaxed victims to part with their online
credentials.
Police departments are becoming more tech-savvy
using advanced data systems as extra ammunition
against lawbreakers.
They're also using social media
to deliver safety alerts to citizens.
They're using some
pretty impressive new hardware too
including video cameras and GPS.
In the works
a patrol car with an ergonomic cockpit
a large touchscreen with voice-activated controls
and a backup manual system
And in the Gaming news
New Super Mario Bros.
Wii may share most of its name with the
DS title from a few years back,
but they're not the same game at all.
This concludes our report for the day.
Please come back again for more tech goodies.
