DREW NOAH: So now I'm going to talk about how you can add friends using the--kind of
a more social networking aspects of The Daily Plate. So you'll just want to go to your profile
by clicking the profile link, there's one right there; I use one from a different place.
But you can see you've got your friends link right here and I'm just going to click on
that just give it a second to load. And to add a friend you need to--so let's go up here
to my friends up here and then here's what the 'your friends' section will look like.
And to find members to add as friends you can do--you can just meet people browsing
the site looking on like the message boards or in the groups, you could make friends that
way. Or if you know somebody who is actually using the site have them give you their username
and then you can friend request them. So I've got a made up user here that I'm going to
friend request. And you can see because the search was limited to "with photos" they didn't
find the result 'cause there's no photo there yet but if I just search again, here we go
this is the made up person I'm friend requesting so I would go to add as a friend. And there
we go so now it says, "You're waiting to hear back from Jane." And then over here this is
actually the profile I just friend requested. Go to the "my friends" link and then you've
got a pending friend request right here and this is me so I will go ahead and accept it
and there we go. Now there's a friend and you can see they're online and this is Jane
looking at my profile and she can see everything I've got. And you can see when you add a friend
you have the--this feed list of what they've tracked. You can see, you know, now we're
friends, I've tracked these things right here. So that's how you add a friend and the other
way of course, you know, you're in the groups, you're talking to people, and you could friend
request any of these people so that's how you friend request somebody in The Daily Plate.
