There's a lot of blog posts and articles about LinkedIn profile
optimization and it's actually really important to get that right
if I were to tell you how to optimize your profile
in 30 seconds or less these are the three things I would say you need to do
first have a picture just have a picture it increases your likelihood of getting
found by
something like seven-percent number two
is to really think about keywords
go out there and look at LinkedIn profiles of people who you admire
you think are good profiles that are getting found and then
look at the words that they're using grab those words and put them into your
headline
your summary your experiences in all the important parts your LinkedIn profile
and that will help with visibility optimization the final part with
LinkedIn is often
the most misunderstood part and that's your skills
people often wait for their friends their LinkedIn connections to
give them endorsements for skills and so they're not really in control of what
skills show up on their profile
well I think that skills are incredibly important because
recruiters in the recruiting product are using skills to find
talent therefore think about
what's kills your adding to your profile in which ones
you asking endorsements for so again if you follow these 3 things
your pictures your keywords and the skills you choose for your headline
I think you'll find that you'll get the results that you're looking for from
your linkedin profile
