Stress Management Meditation: Relaxation Meditations for Grounding and Balancing Video from the Meditation CD and MP3 “Meditations For Life 1” by Meditation Teacher and Personal Growth Facilitator Linda Hall
Hello I’m Linda Hall. Welcome to my series ‘Meditations for Everyday Life. Today we focus on grounding.
And when you are ready allow your eyes to comfortably close.
As you do so, bring your awareness down to the contact your body is making with the surface beneath it.
Sense down into your body, feeling its weight and volume
And allow your body to soften into the support beneath it
Softening your belly
And letting your ‘head-mind’ soften and sit back as you let your body’s weight be taken by the support beneath it.
Let your awareness move down further, down to the good solid ground beneath you
Sense the foundation of ground meeting the weight of your body, and surrender more of your body’s weight to ground.
Allow your body to begin to tune into the steady slowness - the ‘hereness’ of the ground
Let your physical body connect with the depth of the planet supporting you, meeting the weight of your body.
And come back in to land from where you’ve been in your body and in your mind Come back in to land on solid ground.
This stuff of ground that is made of the same stuff of your body: water minerals, crystals - all flowing round your body.
You have a natural affinity with ground.
Give your physical body a few moments to tune in with the stuff of earth and rebalance itself to
remember its true nature.
Come back home to ground.
Give to ground what your body has been holding and no longer needs to carry with it.
Give to ground what your mind is holding and no longer needs to carry.
Let your mind and your body come back to solid ground.
Breathe out down to ground
Breath up from the ground
Breathe into your physical body the solid steady power of the ground.
And nourish yourself.
Become aware of what happens when you ground yourself.
And in your own time you can draw this meditation to a close.
Opening your eyes when you are ready maintaining, your connection with ground,
and noticing what that it feels like to have ground as an everyday resource.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this meditation, goodbye.
