Trading 401 is a 4-day training programme delivered by ex-City brokers and traders.
It is well known that the Forex market is traded by professionals and institutions with
huge funds available. Yet the typical retail trader does not generally
have access to city professionals. This means they never find out how the professionals
operate, relying instead on retail products and spread betting companies.
This 4-day programme addresses this huge gap between retail and professional and enables
you to think and trade like a professional. The four days of the programme are spread
over a month allowing you time to do some real trading between each module.
Trading 401 is an intensive practical training programme. So that you can hit the ground
running, there are some things you need to do before you come on the programme.
Youll get more details of these in the run up to the programme starting.
The first of these is to open your trading account. The whole world trades in lots
and you will be opening an account with a broker, not a spread betting company.
This is how professionals the world over trade. You have a choice of live trading, which we
encourage, or trading with a practice account. A practice account takes less than 5 minutes
to open. You also need to install the trading software, charting software and strategies.
Some of the support during the programme is provided through Skype. You need a Skype account
to allow you to use Skype instant messaging. You need a laptop for trading on the course.
Trading is a practical skill and you will be taking your first trades on day 2 of the
4-day programme. The whole of the City of London uses Windows
based PCs and laptops for trading. So whilst tablets and i-pads may be convenient, it is
up to you to make sure the trading software functions.
If you have booked Trading 401 through the Plan B website, you may attend a complimentary
Quickstart session. If you have booked via the Agora Trading Academy, you may book Quickstart
as an optional extra. Quickstart is a couple of hours introducing
trading, terminology and familiarising you with the trading software and charting. It
is very practical and is recommended for people who have not traded before.
Ideally, you will do this before your course, but it is also possible to attend Quickstart
soon after Trading 401 starts. Quickstart also includes hands on using Skype instant
messaging. The first two days of Trading 401 are spent
in the classroom and are mainly on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Youll learn about the Forex market. Well focus on the discipline and psychology
and the 15 rules of trading. Risk management is an integral component of
trading and well introduce you to low-risk trading where you can risk as little as 1
on a trade. With a risk of 1 per 1000 in your account,
well show how you can double your money in a year and the effect compounding has on
your capital. Youll learn how to trade size correctly
to trade in lots and eliminate painful losses from your trading.
Professional traders trade the news. So will you. If youve ever heard that you shouldnt
trade the news, it would have been from someone who has never been a professional trader or
seen a professional trading floor. Youll learn the three strategies.
The Anaconda strategy is the long term trading strategy delivering awesome returns. It is
suitable for trading in the evenings, making it ideal for people with a daytime job.
Youll learn how to identify the entry and exit points for the trades and trade management.
Youll learn the Cobra and Rattlesnake trading strategies for trading during the day. The
Cobra is the strategy you will use to trade the news.
On the afternoon of day 2, well get the laptops open and get you looking for trades
to take before the end of the first two days. You could be taking short term Cobra or Rattlesnake
trades, or even identifying longer term Anaconda trades.
Day 3 is your Skype Day and is normally on the Monday following the classroom course.
The Skype Day is a day of trading and answering your questions.
You will use the instant messaging capability of Skype where you type your question and
one of the traders will type an answer to the question.
All questions and answers are therefore visible to all delegates attending the session.
With three days of trading between the course and the Skype Day, I'm sure there's going
to be a few questions that you will want to ask. Take notes of the questions you want
to ask and then fire them at us on the day. Well also be looking for live trading opportunities
and commenting on trades through the day. You have the option of purchasing further
Skype Days, or even two-hour Skype Evenings to provide inexpensive support as and when
you need it. If you are unfamiliar with Skype, consider
booking yourself on a Quickstart session to practice.
The final day of the 4-day programme is normally on the Wednesday three weeks after the Skype
Day. The Live Trading Experience is the day we
all look forward to. You will be trading live all day, including any news announcements
made on the day. The head trader will provide a commentary
on individual trades throughout the day. This day starts to complete the jigsaw and much
of the previous 4 weeks of practice and learning falls into place on this day.
Well also look at trading Oil in the afternoon. With three traders in the room, there is plenty
of time to ask any questions you have, either individually or to the open class.
You can also take some one on one time with one of the traders if you want some personal
coaching and mentoring during the day. After four formal days with much of it focused
on live trading youll find youre not left on your own.
Our experienced traders provide market commentary through a members only website, sometimes
blogging up to three times a day. Youll be able to book extra coaching and
mentoring if you want some one on one help later on.
You can book extra Skype Days or Skype Evenings too.
And many people get so much from the Live Trading Experience, we find they want to book
additional days. All of the support options are available from the members website.
Ready to book? Private tuition from Plan B Trading allows you to select your own date
and venue. This will be your private education with one
trader and anyone else you want to share it with. You can elect to have Quickstart included
when you choose private tuition, plus the first two days of the course.
You will join the public schedule for your Skype Day and your Live Trading Experience.
Alternatively, enrol in a public class to join like minded people on a publicly scheduled
course. Attendance on a public course is capped at 25 delegates with 3 traders per class,
a ratio approximately of one trader per 8 people.
