Hey guys! Have you ever wanted to make your eyes appear larger? Have you ever wondered
why your eyes are appearing smaller and wondered if you're doing something wrong with your
makeup, that makes them look like this? Well, today not only am I going to show several
tips and tricks on how to make your eyes appear larger, but I am also going to show you what
you shouldn't do, that might make them look a bit smaller, or a bit more narrow. And these
are things that maybe you are doing on a day to day basis without even realizing that it
makes your eyes appear a bit more small. SO I am going to show you do's and don'ts, and
you have seen in the picture at the beginning how it looks like at the end. And I'm not
necessarily saying that small eyes, or narrow eyes are not beautiful, or that the things
that make your eyes look smaller, that you will see in the video, make them look ugly
or something like that. The small eye is also beautiful, in it's own way. But this video
is for people that really want their eyes appear larger. So just sit back, relax, and
let me demonstrate it to you. First of all, no matter if you want to make
your eyes bigger or smaller, you always want to use a base, that will prevent your eyeshadow
from creasing and make the color more vibrant. This is Sigma's eyeshadow base in Persuade.
Anywhere you use a lighter shade on your eye, it will make this part of the eye just pop
a little bit more. It will bring it forward. So the places you want to use a lighter shade
on, is - under your brow bone, this will make the brow bone look higher. The inner corners
of the eye.. By making the inner corner of the eye lighter, it will make your eyes look
more open and awake. And all over the lid.
It's going to bring the lid forward and make it look larger. Do not use a darker shade close to your lash line and up.
Do not bring your darker shade all the way inward.
You do want to define your crease. By using a darker shade, preferably a warm shade, on your crease, you will define the crease and
make it look deeper. By making your crease looking deeper, it creates an effect of a
larger eye.
Do not leave your crease area bare, with no eyeshadow. You do want to create a gradient effect, by
applying a warmer, or a bit lighter shade, like a medium shade, on top of the crease
shade you used. This will create an effect of a larger area
between your crease and your brow bone. Do not use a warmer tone, dark shade, under
your eyebrow. Any place you apply a darker shade on, will appear smaller and deeper.
You do want to apply a little bit of a warmer shade, a bit under the lower lash line, not
that close to it, but a bit lower. It will create and effect of a wider open eye.
You can also take your colors a bit outside of the eye and create kind of a cat eye shape.
Just swip the color outwards, towards the temple. It will create an effect of a longer
looking eye. This is something you probably never thought
about, but you don't want to use a lighter shade very close to your lower lash line.
You want to use a lighter shade eye pencil. The best to use is a beige-y pink shade, rather
than just a white, that will look unnatural. You want to take this light pencil on your waterline.
This will crete an effect of a wider whites of the eyes, and it will make
you eyes appear larger, and more awake and open.
You want to avoid using darker pencils on your waterline. It will make your eye look
more narrow. Same goes for the upper lash line.
I would recommand to curl your lashes before you apply mascara on them. It will create
an effect of longer, more wispy looking lashes. Use your mascara from the very root of the
lash, up to the very tip of it. Try to focus on the tips of the lashes and on the outer
edges. That will make your lashes look longer. Check out my video about how to make your
lashes look longer and thicker, if you haven't yet. Don't forget the bottom lashes.
Avoiding using mascara, or using it just on the very roots, not all the way up tp the
tips, can make them look a bit smaller and shorter. Also using a colored mascara, can
make them look a bit shorter, just because the color won't make them as intense as a
black mascara. Also avoiding the bottom lashes will make them look a bit smaller or invisible,
and will make your eye look a bit more narrow. So this is the final look, I hope you like it.
I can totally see the difference, how about you?
So you have seen what a major difference it makes
with just those little small steps and touches that you might be doing on a day to day basis
that really makes this bit difference. I hope you enjoyed this video and I am going to talk
to you all next time. Bye.
