A nonprofit corporation is different from a traditional corporation in that
does not have stockholders
and it has a charitable purpose.
What people typically want to do when they form a nonprofit corporation is they want
to try to
select solicit donations
from contributors and those contributors want to write that off on their taxes as a
as a tax deduction for charitable contribution. In order to do that you
first need to form a corporation as a nonprofit,
the state form that they have on their website does not include all the language that
the IRS requires
to be qualified as a 51c3 nonprofit.
Our form if you complete the non-profit through us
what you will receive
is that language is required with the IRS on your certificate of incorporation. We also
prepare the minutes, the bylaws,
And the internal documents for the company that you need to send
to the IRS to obtain what's called a tax determination letter so you’ll be qualified
as a non-profit corporation.
So we are step one in the process in forming a non-profit corporation. Step two is
completing an application to the IRS, it's called a 1023
but we provide you everything you need to form that non-profit corporation
and in turn
what happens is you run the nonprofit,
you try to
solicit donations,
those donors can write off
their requests if you do receive that tax termination letter and we give you
everything you need to get your company started.
