Creating recipes for the whole family
Hello and welcome to Todd's kitchen. To jump start the Easter recipes I'm doing
Im making something so simple, so easy i guarantee you're going to love making these
especially with the kids. So join me today as i make my version of Chocolate easter cups
So we are going to start this of with our chocolate
Now for this I'm using milk chocolate
But you can also use dark chocolate or even white chocolate
now its very simple
we are melting this chocolate in the microwave
we are going to put it in for thirty seconds at a time and after thirty second give it a quick stir
then put it back in for another thirty second and continue on until the chocolate
is completely melted
The chocolate has been melted. Now what i have done is
let it cool down to room temperature because it was a bit warm
so we don't want it warm, we want it nice and cool but we still want it melted. Now i have a tray here lined with non stick baking paper
So have that ready
So what we are going to use are balloons and they can be as big or small as you like
They can be a small cup size or a large bowl size, there really is no limit to what you can do
Now with our cooled down chocolate
grab our balloon
and just dip the bottom
just roll it around in the chocolate
Then let it drip off
then what are are going to do
with the tray here
just lightly prop it up in the tray
just so it stays still like that
once done place straight into the fridge just until the chocolate is hard
So i have just taken this out and what i have done is
had it in the freezer and i had it in there
for about ten to fifteen minutes just to make it extra hard
It makes it easier when popping the balloon
But i have a pin here so lets pop this balloon
Your going to get the top thinner bits
contracting around the outside there thats fine
So we are going to carefully remove it
just from the cup
there we go
and thats it. Now its completely up to you, you can add some more chocolate
to fill up that gap on the bottom
but honestly its not necessary but it also depends on what you're going to put in it of course
So im only going to fill it up with dry ingredients so its not necessary
Now we can fill them up with what ever we choose
So for this one im going to use some M&M's
Then for another one some marshmallows
So its completely up to you what you want to fill them with
And our chocolate cups are done. Now how simple and easy was that. They definitely do look affective and i guarantee people are going to love them to.
So you have your treats and then when your finished those some one can eat the cup as well
One could even say this is an environmentally friendly recipe
But if you have the lovely treats on the inside or you get to eat the cup i guarantee these are going to taste
Simply delicious
So please give them a go at home and let me know how you went
