This is the Smooth Watercolour tool in Manga Studio 5.
I find it reaaaallly good for adding colour and blending colours.
To use this brush, you need to add pressure onto your tablet with the tablet pen.
When no pressure it put on the tablet you are able to blend the colour.
I find it great for the realistic look to my drawings.
It depends on how you use the brush because it doesn't have to be realistic.
I prefer to use the brush to make my art semi-realistic with the skin.
Only add pressure to the bright parts of the skin or where the light bounces off the skin.
Then you can smooth it out. Just like how you would paint with real paints.
I just realized that her left eye may be alittle bit too high- its drawn on an angle so you won't see it well.
A good tip when using this particular brush is to follow the direction of the skin like how you would when putting make up on.
hmm, how do i explain that to people who don't wear cosmetics. AH, Follow the cheek bonesm down and go from up to bottom.
Okay, I'll show you some more blending, Thats not on a face.
See how I added pressure? Now I'm blending without applying pressure to my tablet.
Here, I'm not applying pressure so no paint comes onto my layer.
When you blend, try to do it softly because you may accidentally apply pressure and then paint will go onto the layer.
Its fantastic for smooth blending! You can add on other colours too and then blend them together very smoothly. (is that a word? XD)
When I first started using this tool, I was reeealllly bad! XD You need to play around with it and get the feel of using it.
Practice on your hand pressure and be mindful of it. ^^
Ahhh one more thing! I'll show you what the other water colour tools are like and their blending.
