Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be taking you through
our finishing process. Now that our stain has dried over night, we are ready to move
on with our finishing process. I am going to be using a clear gloss Polyurethane. Now
this is the same type of finish used on the desk so this is going to really help this
hutch match the lower portion of the desk. I am going to be putting this on with a foam
brush. As I put this on, I am going to use nice even strokes making sure to get good
coverage. For my first coat, I am going to put this on my entire project and let it dry
for 24 hours. After that, I am going to steel wool my entire project and then use a tack
cloth to get off any debris that may be on top, any little flakes of polyurethane or
dust. After that, I am going to put a second coat on, let that dry, steel wool it, tack
cloth it, put a third coat, let that dry and that will be the end of my finishing process.
