GREG HAREM: Now with roses, you want to make sure to take off the guard petals, which are
the outer petals, 'cause they're really there just to protect the rose in transport. Next,
you want to take your rose stripper and strip off all the leaves. Again, I chose this color
to give it a more masculine look and it will be a good contrast to the rust lilies. Again,
just cut about that much and insert your roses underneath the lilies. I like to use about
five roses just because I like using odd numbers. You can use as many as you like. Again, you
want to mass your flowers.
And like I said, if it's for a feminine more look, pink or purple roses would be fabulous,
but all depending on what the client asks for or what you think would look best in the
arrangement. Again, make sure all your guard petals are gone. But I'm not going to strip
this because I don't really need to, 'cause I'm only going to be using this much of the
stem. Okay. Next, I'll be showing you the finishing touch, which is the anthurium.
