Doughnuts are made with numerous ways but soft round jam stuffed doughnuts are out of the world.
Today we will make jam doughnuts.
Let's see what all ingredients are required for making jam doughnuts.
Maida - 1 cup
Butter - 2 tbsp (salted) (if using unsalted butter then add ¼ tsp salt in flour)
Milk - ½ cup
Jam - to stuff doughnuts
Active dry yeast - ½ tsp
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Oil - to fry jam doughnuts
For making jam doughnut firstly knead dough for jam doughnuts.
Mix butter in maida and keep little amount for greasing the dough later.
Also add dry active yeast. If using dry yeast, firstly mix it in lukewarm milk to make it active.
Add sugar as well and mix all ingredients.
Add little amount of milk at a time and knead the flour.
Keep kneading the dough like this for 7-8 minutes so that it becomes softer and even.
Grease the dough with butter and cover it.
After 2 hours dough will become puffy and then bring in use for making doughnuts.
Dough is now ready; now knead it for one more time.
Divide dough in small parts like this.
Roll giving them a round shape like this.
Dust with some dry flour for rolling.
Like wise make all balls and place them on plate at little distance.
Now keep them aside for one hour so that they become puffy.
For frying doughnuts we don't require too much heated oil. Make sure it is medium hot.
Place the doughnuts in pan.
Fry on medium flame until they become golden brown in color.
Take them out in a plate when fried evenly from all sides.
Like wise fry rest of the doughnuts.
Doughnuts are ready; now sprinkle some powdered sugar over them.
Now stuff doughnuts with jam.
Use a cake decorating machine for stuffing doughnuts.
You can use jam or marmalade.
Make a hole in doughnut and place the nozzle on the hole and push the lever like this.
Like wise stuff all doughnuts with jam.
Jam doughnuts are ready. Serve fresh or store it in refrigerator for 1-2 days and enjoy eating.
