Today on this 2013 Honda CR-V, were going to install part number 75742 from Draw-Tite.
This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you
some measurements to help you out selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle
rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be
about 14. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2.
Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed.
First thing we need to do is go ahead and remove a panel thats underneath the vehicle.
Now it covers most of the bottom of the vehicle. There will be a variety of fasteners that
you have to remove. On this particular vehicle we remove two screws, three bolts, and five
plastic fasteners. Our next step would be to go ahead and mark and cut a hole in
the panel
for our hitch; however, in this instance the owner had the luck to leave the panel off.
