My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the dos and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. In the year 2011, I think one can find heals as high as 8 or 9 inches. Choosing
weddings shoes is really not easy. Number one, everybody wants to be tall and the higher
the heel the taller you'll be. Number two, everybody wants to be comfortable. Number
three, you're going to be on your feet 6 to 10 hours from photography until the end of
the event, so there's a lot of things to think about when choosing shoes. Again, one wants
to be as tall as one could be for this ceremony and for pictures and why not? So choose the
tallest shoes you can find that are the most comfortable. After that you may need to change
to lower, lower, lower down to ballet slippers. Don't worry if the dress is too long. You've
already walked down the aisle. That's okay. You're not wearing it again. But make sure
your feet make it through and by all means have at least 2 or 3 pairs of shoes to change
into. It's extremely important to be able to do that and don't feel constricted by color.
Today, every color works. One can wear a white suit with blue shoes as Carrie Bradshaw did.
One can wear hot pink, yellow, anything your heart desires because shoes have to be comfortable
and they have to be really cool.
