Heute wird es Winter sein. (Today it is going to be winter.)
I don't always shovel snow when it is bitterly cold outside and almost dark, but
when I do, it's because it's about to get a lot colder and
I'm wearing my wife's boots.
So far we've got about a foot and a half of snow or so.
I took the liberty of only shoveling half of my driveway so I could show you exactly how deep it actually is. There you can see my boots.
It is about to the tops of the boots and that's not all the way to the bottom of the snow, but anyway, there's that.
It is about a foot and a half, two feet deep or so and then when you shovel it off to the side here, it is about three feet deep here.
For illustration purposes, that's to my knee there so that is about 2 and a half, 3 feet of snow there.
And that there is over my knee so that is what happens when ever you shovel all of the snow out of your driveway off to one side.
So we're going to take a little detour around the side of the house here.
He look grass. How'd that get there?
It's drifted a little bit up here. So you can see that.
And then again just to show you how high that is, that's again my knee.
It's about 2 1/2 feet deep there.
That's a really nice pile in front of my gate there. That's nice.
I like that.
Getting into my back yard here. Yeah. I'd say that the back yard definitely drifted a little bit.
That's exciting.
Not quite over the top of the boot in that drift.
Heute schneit es ein Bisschen. Und ich wollte nur ein Bisschen über das Wetter sprechen. (Today it is snowing a bit. And I just wanted to talk a little about the weather.)
Weil ich das jetzt machen kann. (Because I can do that now.)
Hier ist mein Grill. Schnee. Schnee. Schnee. (Here is my grill. Snow. Snow. Snow.)
About to the top of the boot there.
You can't really see much, because, well, it's snow.
But let's see if I can get it to focus. There we go.
There's my footsteps from the gate over.
I'll walk in my own footsteps again so I can get back.
Push the little button there.
That's as far as the gate will open before it starts to bend and
get messy.
But yeah. Looks quite lovely.
Around the side of the trash cans it drifts really nicely.
It's kind of impressive.
Das ist eine kleine Welle. (That's a little wave.)
It started to kind of take over my neighbor's bushes here. That's nice. Can't get it to focus on anything.
Ah. There we go. There's a boot. Going through the snow.
Yeah. Boots in the snow. Boots in snow.
Since I shoveled my driveway this is about 4 feet, well, 3 and a half. Something like that.
Yeah. Let's get my shovel out so you can see exactly how deep that really is. So...
Let's see, this shovel comes up to about my chest, which is about 4 feet high.
Sooo...
Take the shovel out here and...
Dip it here in the snow.
It's only, what, 3 feet? Something like that.
That's real nice. I like it. Anyway. Just thought I would show you.
A bit of the snow.
Es schneit. Es ist windig. Es ist kalt. Ich hasse es. Und es ist jetzt Winter. Tschüss. (It is snowing. It is windy. It is cold. I hate it. And it is now winter. Bye.)
