My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to show you how
to make Chicken ala Cacciatore or hunters' style chicken. You see at this point I have
got a nice full boil going on so now I am going to add our chicken back in. Now the
way we are going to do this is skin side up and we are going to add our biggest pieces
on the bottom. The reason being is because the stuff in the bottom is going to cook faster
and we want everything to cook at a fairly even rate so the *** and thighs are going
to go in the bottom, they are going to be fairly submerged, while the wings and legs
are going to be less submerged and more on top. So now that we have got all our chicken
in our pan, everything is at least halfway submerged if not completely. I am actually
going to take all the pan dripping from the chicken that was on the plate it was on, which
is basically just juice and chicken fat for the lack of a better term, put that back in
the pan, at this point our oven is nice and hot, three seventy-five because we preheated
it. We are going to put our lid on this and we are going to place this into the oven for
twenty-five minutes. In twenty-five minutes I'm going to check on it, see how it looks,
it's going to take it anywhere between twenty-five and thirty-five minutes to cook the whole
thing, I am thinking twenty-five minutes because this is really a small chicken so let's go
ahead and put it in our oven and go from there.
