Brett Cadiente: So, my name is Brett Cadiente, and the name of my company is Cadiente plumbing.
We provide all types of commercial and residential plumbing services; everything from disposals to faucet replacements,
to water heater replacements, slab leak repairs and re-routes. And yeah, we do kind of a little bit of everything.
We do emergency plumbing services as well. We do nights and weekend calls as well.
So, if you got a problem in the evening, we're always available and we've always got somebody answering the phone 24/7.
So, I've been in Mesa since about 1987. Actually attended high school in Mesa as well.
So, I'm real familiar with Mesa. Had a lot of friends and family there as well. We do a lot of work in Mesa.
Our location is in Mesa. We do quite a bit of house calls, slab leaks, remodels, and things like that in Mesa too, so...
So, how does water treatment affect leaks and drips or how are they related? So, good question.
So, we do live in Arizona. We have some of the hardest water in the United States, okay? What is hard water?
Hard water is water with, basically, a lot of minerals in it. Specifically, calcium and magnesium, okay?
The calcium and magnesium loves to stick to stuff. It's that white, green stuff that you see on your shower head.
It's what causes leaks and drips all throughout your home. You can't avoid leaks and drips in your house, but you can prolong it.
So, you can purchase a water softener. What a water softener does is it removes the hard minerals in the water,
and it keeps that white and green gunk from sticking to the cartridges in your fixtures,
and that's what causes the leaks and the drips, and things like that.
So, you can also keep your water using appliances and the plumbing, free from the grime and things like that.
Things last longer, things look better. So, that's kind of what water treatment has to do with leaks and drips.
