Supreme Master Ching Hai’s caring endeavors honored by 12th Philippine President. Recently,
His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos, The Philippines’ 12th President and founding chair of the Ramos
Peace and Development Foundation (RPDEV), presented the 2011 Environmental and Humanitarianism
Award for Supreme Master Ching Hai. In an interview, the esteemed leader Mr. Ramos spoke
about the shared ideals of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s decades-long service as well
as his own foundation.
(Interview in English) His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos – 12th President
of the Philippines (Shining World Leadership Laureate) (M): I think we are trying to do
the same thing for the people of the world, especially the young people; so that we will
be – and I say it in just three simple words: more caring, sharing, and daring. Caring and
sharing are easy enough for people to do. But daring is something else, because it means
daring to give more than to take. It also means daring to enhance the environment instead
of abusing it. And daring means taking united efforts in order to make a big difference.
So I think those three definitions of daring encompass most of what the Supreme Master
Ching Hai foundation and our foundation are trying to do.

like the king that you deserve. Thanks for the award – that’s extremely kind of you
– I’m honoured. God bless you and your country! Forever gratefully yours, Ching Hai
♥♥” (love love)

His Excellency expressed his wish to keep it for good. He was thus delighted to see
a copy of the message presented to him.
(Interview in English) His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos (M): She is
one of a handful of people on Earth that is trying to do something for the more needy,
especially for the environment, which is very needy. I wish there were more people like
her.
