Welcome to Let's Play Card Hunter.
Card Hunter is a wonderful little game that I'm gonna be showing you guys.
Apparently we're doing Greenfang's Challenge.
Made by his older brother Melvin.
Our party has survived the Undying Marshes following the ancient map to The Goldleaf
Blade.
Deep in the Marshes are three priceless artifacts. Oooh.
Approaching the altar of a lizardman shrine.
Final assault!
Oh gods! Lizardmen!
They come forth to defend their temple.
What do we have?
I see we've got ourselves a Dwarf Warrior.
A Human Priest and an Elf Wizard.
To those of you that haven't figured it out yet, this is a little tiny browser based game.
It lets you play D&D essentially. Or anything of the sort.
It uses cards for everything.
It's a pretty fun one.
Still in beta last I checked (Wrong, outta beta now.)
I've got 2 beta keys I'm willing to give to anyone that's interested in trying out this
one (Don't need. It's free and outta beta)
All right, so... Let's get started here.
And do stuff.
Start with... Dwarf will walk.
I go. They go. Easy enough to figure out.
The Dwarf will chop.
My armor protected me!
Actually, gonna change something in the options real quick.
Turn off auto targeting, cause I like to choose that on my own.
Even though nine times out ten, it's chosen correctly for me.
Inspire the wizard!
Ooh, Teleport other, that's useful.
The burning damage it does, means they'll just take damage over time.
They take it between rounds, which occurs when we run out of cards for both teams.
Healer, heal thyself!
And now we pass.
Next round, this guy dies.
That guy dies, he's almost dead.
As you can see, this is clearly the tutorial.
I mean, no challenge at all.
Let's add some challenge.
No, wrong skill...Meh.
Whatever.
Boom!
Really? Walk right into it?
And force bolt to the lizard!
Dead lizard.
Victory!
After killing them, loot the treasure chest!
We open it, and we get some pretty nice stuff.
Goldleaf Blade, which does some cool stuff.
Now he, because he's using Goldleaf blade, he gets different skills.
See how each of these shows different things that it does.
Terrible rumbling!
Greenfang is here!
I'm guessing...Greenfang's a dragon.
Yeah, Dragon.
I couldn't recall, been a while since I played.
Inspire!
The Sorcerer!
Always inspire the sorcerer!
Penetrating bolt, cause I know that dragon has armor.
It's a frellin' dragon, why wouldn't it have armor?
Teleport the dwarf.
Let's do this, yeah.
Powerful spark.
It's hard to block, which makes it that when they roll for their armor, they roll lower.
And Sorcerous Bolt!
Boom!
Probably should have moved the Dwarf outta there sooner.
Whatever.
As I said, this is the tutorial. You can't lose this, unless you really screw up.
Even then, I'm not sure, I haven't tried.
Pass the turn.
Let the dragon draw some new cards.
We'll do so too.
Oh nice, boiling armor.
Discards all armor cards.
Very useful ability for sorcerers.
Oooh wait, that's actually useful.
And the Dwarf slays the mighty Dragon.
Victory!
Onward!
Uh Oh! Judging by the neckbeard, that's Melvin.
Apparently we're not supposed to be doing this.
Oh... Level one? Level one sucks!
Sigh... Fine...
Raid on Ommlet.
Cardhuntria. The musky dusty Orc's Head Tavern.
Help! Monsters are attacking the village! Who will save us?
A warrior? Dwarf. Always a Dwarf.
These names suck.
This Dwarf shall be the mighty Dwarf, Darsken.
The old man gasps and points towards the nearby village of Ommlet.
I could go for an Omelet.
This should be easy for one who defeated Greenfang.
Oooh, more rules...Yay...
Also, have you guys ever seen a D&D module, or any module for a roleplaying game, that's
for one character?
Wish these existed.
I am a Dwarf. So I walk.
Kobolds run.
I'll let you guys run right into me.
And you're idiots.
Strike at Kobold #1.
They respond in kind.
Strike at Kobold #1 again.
Pretty sure I start next round anyways.
Nope, he does, I should have moved.
Haha. Can't catch up with me.
Death to the Kobolds!
As you can see, I'm victorious, as always.
That's why a Unicorn pops up.
Treasure chest!
Ah, no Level 13 legendary artifact? Damn
The Armory. So I can get new stuff.
Through the fields. Find a trail leading to the Wilderness.
Oh god, these guys are warriors.
Force him to waste more turns.
I mean,I could have hit them both with that, but I wasn't thinking.
Forgot chop does two. Should really read my cards.
Success!
Fanfare!
Loot!
Now I can use a shield.
Got those setup.
Head over the Armory to get a shield. And new heroes.
Boom! Shield!
Wizard! I'll take myself an elf wizard.
Elf Wizard, Shardok.
Pursuing the Kobolds into the Tunnels into Darkness.
Spark!
Oh, he blocked it.
Two can play at that game!
Bzzt!
Bzzzzt!
Stupid Kobold.
Ah, he blocked it. Damn
Bzzzzt!
Death to the Kobold!
Success!
I think he's calling me stupid.
How dare he!?
Oooh, wand.
And some stuff.
Definitely the rare weapon.
Mmm... I don't need that.
Eventually you start speciailizing and doing specific types of attacks.
One sec.
Okay, so, back at here...
Wow, that's a lot of stuff...
What did he want me to do? Buy boots.
Ah here they are. Boots!
Step 1, sell some stuff.
Okay. Shuffle sucks.
Ooh, that I could use.
Oh wait, not for them. For the dwarf.
Gives him some armor and other stuff.
I like that Trait.
Get him some decent armor.
Okay, and that's it.
Let's go to Skull Canyon.
Oooh, this one's got two battles.
Igabig!
He's named, probably a threat.
Let's pass.
Ow.
Move people! Thank you.
Oh crap.
Slide him away!
Force Ig to come to us instead.
Penetrating cut. That'll ignore his armor... Except he doesn't have armor.
Really?
Fine!
Heh.
He's all afraid.
This is the most...
This guy is so frellin' cowardly.
Yeah, take that! I've got armor.
Dead Ig!
Welp, don't have much use for either of those. Whatever.
Into the Shaman's Hut.
Difficult Terrain. That's a new concept.
Okay, so they want us to...Dash in there and kill him.
Like this.
Big Zap.
Little Zap.
(Blue Zap, Red Zap)
And... Pass.
Bludgeoned!
Simple strike.
Damn.
Boom.
Swing for 10!
My armor protects me.
Little Zap... Oh...
Stupid Block. Zap!
Still with the stupid block.
And...He's dead.
Slain them all... Now we get to get some loot.
And experience.
Shardok's now level 2.
Oooh another arcane item slot.
Forgot to collect the loot.
So we're gonna want a priest.
I'm thinking a Dwarf priest.
Love the Dwarves.
That's totally a Dwarven name.
