I had so many interests initially.
Thought about being a nurse.
Thought about being a teacher.
And really stumbled upon this profession and realized
that it was a great melting pot of all my interests.
And once I got here, I fell in love with it.
You're never bored.
There's always something to learn about.
So I think the diversity within -- what you can learn about,
who you can work with, what age group -- it's exciting.
I think a really great experience for me was
from interesting observation work.
And I was observing a child being mapped
with their cochlear implant for the first time,
and it was amazing -- absolutely amazing.
It was amazing to see the child respond to sound
who had never responded to sound before.
It was amazing to see the parents be so excited
about this for their child.
So I think that was just the wow!
What an incredible field.
I want to be part of this.
