Coloring flower petals carefully is important in capturing a flower's softness.
For this demo, I show you how to complete one petal.
Here's the first wash using Prismacolor Blush Pink.
Fill in the petal evenly with very light pressure.
Next, add Pink, maintaining light pressure
and turn the pencil often to keep it sharp.
Then, layer with Hot Pink, and as you work,
define the edges of other petals.
Using pinks alone will result in a dull looking petal,
so add a hint of orange with Yellowed Orange.
For a final touch, darken the edges
of the petal with Chestnut to create contrast.
Begin with medium pressure to light pressure as you go.
This will define the shadow and prevent the petal from looking flat.
