Regulating your Holster FSH-OFA Video Manual - STI Pistols
After a long time, after almost two years of development,
I'm pleased to be here today to show you
how we can regulate our holster, our new holster
for the various guns available on the market today.
The first stage ...
The first step in setting up the holster is
we open the holster into two halves.
So how do we do that?
We take these two screws.
We have to open the holster because
all adjustments are made with him he opened.
In the third hole, which is the middle hole has a third internal screw,
that, as we wheel him in a counterclockwise direction,
you will see that the holster will open.
We will not until he almost disassemble the whole, it will split into two parts.
Arrived here, we can go now with the hand.
We makes a ... And then we dismantle it.
We do a bit of strength and then we disassemble it, you see it?
At this point, we have two parts of the
holster, which are mounted on the inner part.
Do you see any piece that does not fall?
It is absolutely only to regulate the holster.
With the ever disassembled holster thus finished with the first step.
We can see the holster open.
And to link to the manual written
we shall call the side that has the
lock 'L' or passive lock, which is this one,
and also has the actuating lever lock
as part 'A' for the sake of reference.
And the side that has the latch with spring, you can see,
we will spend the next call of 'B'.
Now, we will go then adjust ...
Will move on to Step 2, which is the height adjustment ...
Positioning lock 'L', this lock here.
How do we do this?
We take the gun and slide it in the holster,
as if we were entering it in the holster, you see it?
And in this case we see here ...
Until it stops there.
Just touch it lightly.
We slip it in the holster, as if we were entering it in the holster,
until it lightly touches the frame here.
She will stop in one place.
We rested here and we see that the latch're far from where it needs to be.
She has to be here,
and she's here.
What are we gonna do? We adjust the height of it. How?
Through this screw here.
We will get a key, and counter-clockwise,
we will rotate this screw.
And that whole box will go up, the latch will go up.
Until it reaches the position that we need and.
How do we do this?
We will raising her.
How do I know the STI frame position is almost all up there,
we will take the box to the highest position and will experience.
Leaned there, need not press. Pressed, ok.
And then we come back with gun over here
and slide it inside the holster to see how it is.
At this point, it is already inside the trigger guard, you see it?
But the best way for us to find that position here is to do the following ...
We triggers the lock lever.
The lock will now be ... So she comes over, she protrudes.
And we support the gun here.
Just as we were entering the gun,
like the first time we do it again
And then she'll be inside the lock there, you see it?
It is important that the face of the lock,
this cam lock, that rest against the inside of the trigger guard.
So how do you see it?
We put here.
She has a gap. I can not move the gun.
So what are we gonna do?
The box is very up, I went too the latch.
So we go down it a bit, so she stay
a little fairer. How are we going down?
The same bolt,
Now clockwise, tightening the screw,
us down box.
Down a bit, and we try again.
Look, she has a little slack.
I will go down a little more.
Just a little more.
OK.
She has minimal play here, I'll leave it at that.
She has to have a certain gap, because we now ...
At this point, the position of the latch is ok, her location.
So is completed phase 2.
Now we go to phase 3
which is the adjustment screws
nylon head that creep in the trigger guard
and make the drive latch.
How are we going to do this?
We will regulate
these screws for
the two touching the guard simultaneously.
In guard of STI, as it is straight and square,
we will unscrew these screws until they touch the trigger guard.
It is a fairly simple process.
We will run here.
Leaving the two at the same distance.
And we try again the weapon.
Still have a small gap there, you see it?
Can you bring more people back a bit.
Another lap.
One more round in both.
Look, I seem to be ok.
When you have no slack, we do experience we
loose the lock lever. Puts in the "loose"
slides the gun and see if it brushes against the two screws simultaneously.
This causes the latch between ... With that triggers the latch.
Is driving, you see it?
That's what has to happen, right?
Very well. Phase 3 is thus completed.
Phase 4 is the width adjustment of the latch,
to adapt to the thickness of the bottom of the guard.
This part here.
You can see that with the gun entered here, has a space
between the latch and the trigger guard, you see it?
Which allows the weapon to do so, look.
That can not happen, you see it?
What are we gonna do? We adjust this width as the lock?
Triggering the lock 'L' with his finger thus pulling it, you leave visible
setscrews, which are three: two external and one internal.
To extend the lock, you drop the external.
Always the same amount of turns in one and the other.
And with the built-in anti-clockwise, we push the plunger.
You see appearing the metal plunger? And extending the lock, you see it?
And try again.
Still have room there. We'll do it again.
Will extend one more round here ...
Will drop a turn here.
A loose back here and push the plunger down.
Already leaning there, but still have a small gap. You see?
We can hold it a little longer.
Leave her a bit wider.
And it is better, you see it? She does not move anymore.
She has a lock off there, which is normal.
No more movement ... Can you squeeze us a little more.
This adjustment is until the gun ...
While you can, without force,
push the gun inside, with the lock without pressing enter there,
you can go squeezing the latch, no problem.
This causes the gun to become more prey
between the lock and holster, you see it? Do not touch anything, you see it?
Phase 4 is completed and is set that way.
From now on, step 5.
What are we gonna do? Step 5 is set aside 'B'
which is the side of the latch with spring.
What is actually much simpler because all the work has been done on the 'A'.
What are we doing here? We only replicates
the height of the position and width of the lock latch.
How are we going to do this? The height, we will put a
a box next to each other, one side of the other side.
And you will see that I have to get this box, the box on the 'B'
and bring it up here, to stay in the same place.
How do I do that?
It has a screw underneath the holster. In a counterclockwise direction,
I take it up there.
It's almost touching upstairs.
See? Ok
Is at the same height. And the next step is
leaving the same width on the other side of the lock, the side "B".
We will look at how much it has aluminum here the silver part
and will place the same on the other side. How did we do?
Likewise that side, only, for you to find the
setscrews lock that are here,
you push the latch inside with your finger and then appear setscrews.
They appear in lateral tear of the holster.
We do the same process. We loosen the screws and
screw in the middle, we push the plunger out.
And copies away at the other side.
When loosening the screws with the same amount
Lap and pushing the plunger with the screw means.
I would say it is very similar.
There does not need to be gauged. We do this through the "olhômetro" even.
Because as this lock is spring, and if she gets a bit
closer, she enters or so, no problem.
It just can not be too large,
because it will hit on the side of the trigger guard
and will not enter. And it will not work.
Here're perfect, you see it?
Phase 5 is finished and both sides are regulated.
Step 6.
Phase 6 is the reassembly of the holster.
We will regularly ...
At this point, we regulate to the width of the trigger guard.
What is the thickness of the trigger guard down here.
How do we do this? We take the two sides
and dates carefully to fit.
This part up here have to be tight fitting, not to go wrong.
Fit ... Sometimes you have a holster that is a little more fair.
If by some chance he stand and very fair
when you are starting to mount, you can put the screws back in place.
And tightening the screws slightly each
the holster will shut up the position you want.
Then we close the holster to a certain position
and experience the weapon.
It is large, you see it?
We will taking these screws to tighten
against that screw us
unscrewed to release the holster inside, you see it?
What is stop him.
So by the time you find the slope and position ...
She is a little loose, you see it?
Look!
So we push it a little more. How do we push?
We loose that screw a bit.
Clockwise, we put this screw in a bit.
And retighten these out.
Just pull over, do not need to Arrochar. Ready.
The gun is jammed.
Have no problem.
The lock is working.
The gun does not come out.
She still has some movement here, you see it?
How do we regulate this? To finish the adjustment of the holster.
We have here in front, on the face of the holster.
We have that stop here, we can drop.
He has a spring underneath.
And we return the gun to there
and she's supported. No longer move anymore.
It's like this?
Locked.
The gun falls.
STI is set to one.
To finish, just one last observation. That is:
If you want it to be ...
If you want to serve is a little heavier,
it has a little more tension.
You can adjust this pressure lock active
through this knurled screw.
In a counterclockwise direction, you take his pressure and the gun comes out.
Despite being too uptight, she leaves no ...
You hardly feel it is in the holster.
If you want the holster with a serve with a little more tension
fear of the gun to be a little loose, you can take the spring pressure.
And then she gets a rush out despite it being also quite easy.
That's it. Is functional.
The holster is running and set to the STI frame with polymer.
