The USB stick that comes with this machine has designs loaded on it. They're the same
designs that you have in your sampler book and, what's nice about these, is these are
actual size, so you can see what size they're going to be and you can even use this as a
template. For example, if we want design 43, these are in folders, so designs 1 through
7 are in folder 1, arrow down. Those will be designs 8 through 17, so if we want design
43, we need to come down to the folder 38-47. Touch okay, and then locate designer topaz.
That's what DT stands for, and then arrow down to 43. Touch okay to retrieve that design.
Then, you're ready to stitch it out.
Before you actually stitch it, you'll need to do one thing is change the hoop size, and
we're going to get into this, but this will be very important. You'll need to take a look
at which hoop you actually are planning on using and tell the machine just that. For
example, I have hooped up for our samples today the 360 x 200 hoop. This design will
fit in a much smaller hoop, so we can go to the hoop icon, find the hoop size, arrow to
the side, and then tell it 360 x 200 by putting a checkmark in that box, it will then let
me actually embroider. If you don't change it, you'll have a little message that says
"Please check the hoop."
Here's the biggest thing people always ask: How do I get out of the design that I have
selected? Here is your most important button is this stitch menu button. Push that one
time and it will take you back to the last folder you were in. As you can see at the
top, there's a little picture of an arrow pointing to the left, and that will take you
up and out as in up one level, so back to where the original folders were, so that is
how easy it is to get around.
Once you add designs to this USB stick via your computer, they will show up in alphabetical
order, so you'll need to scroll down, find where they are, and then access them from
there, so very easy. You can load quite a few designs on this USB stick because embroidery
designs do not take up a lot of space.
