With our white base make-up layer on, looking wonderfully blotchy, let's move on to our
black make-up. We're going to apply this around the eye area here. Now, the nice balance here,
is you don't want to be too strong with the black. At the same time though, you want to
be able to have it definitely giving the, our joker a really gaunt, creepy appearance,
and have it kind of blend in almost to the white around it. So, start around the eye
as you apply, and definitely try to make sure that you're getting the tops of the eyelids.
Some of the white make-ups going to blend in, and that's just fine. Again, like the
white make-up, you're not going to have really clearly defined areas. The black make-up's
going to kind of spill up and over different areas. If you see yourself getting like a
nice solid line, see here, how this looks pretty solid and angular, blotch it up. Bring
out some other areas, go up over the bridge of the nose a bit. This make-up is supposed
to look, as though it's been applied in only a couple of minutes, because the joker's just
too plain crazy to take his time on it. Again, above the on eyelid here, is an easy place
to miss, bring your brush nice and gently down, onto the eyelashes. If you're doing
this yourself, a mirror helps immensely. And keep your other eye open. If you're applying
this on somebody else, please keep in mind your eyes are very sensitive, and it is not
do to have a lot of bristly brushes right near them. I'm using a soft brush here, which
helps immensely, in terms of making sure the eyes not poked or prodded unnaturally. Now,
we're going to continue to apply the black, and have it spill a little bit over, on to
the cheek area here. Whenever you smile, this is going to help this wrinkle up a bit, so
this is a nice little area, you can bleed off over. And once you start truly seeing
a bit of a contrast, step back about five feet and kind of see. And see, now you can
already see how the joker is getting really creepy looking. And while this is darker,
it's not to the point where it looks as if it's like a solid black circle here. It's
nice and blended, and it's starting to mottle in, mottle in with the surrounding white.
Continue on with this, by doing the same treatments, on the other side of the face, over in the
other eye socket.
