Hello this is Trevor from http://www.iamrebuilding.com.
On March 15th I begin a journey to lose 100 pounds in a year.
Today, I am going to tell you the three things that are going to help me succeed.
Before I get to the plan, let me tell you a bit about myself.
First, I am overweight, like really overweight.
I currently have like 51% body fat and weigh about 300 pounds.
That's a problem. I plan on losing 100 pounds over the next year.
Which is about 1-2 pounds a week each and every week.
Let me tell you how I am going to do that. Diet. Diet. Diet?
I am going to do the Paleo diet. Paleo? Paleo?
Now the paleo diet is based on the philosophy that are bodies haven't evolved enough to
eat the types of food we eat.
About 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago we get to the Paleolithic Era.
We were hunters and gatherers back then and we relied on our environment and our wits
to feed us.
Rather than the guy at the Taco-Bell Drive in.
"Ahh, welcome to Taco-Bell may I take your order?"
So the paleo diet limits our food to the same type of food that was around during that time
period.
That means no processed grains of any kind, peanuts, lentils, beans and peas.
Oh, also no dairy!
"Oh my stars"
But fish pork and beef are OK.
"You gotta be kidding me"
This diet isn't for everyone and in-fact there is a lot of criticism over it.
But we will talk more about it in a upcoming video.
The second major factor is exercise.
I am going to transform my pinto-bean-and-cheese burrito fueled body into a lean mean fighting machine.
To do this I plan on doing a variety of exercises starting with walking graduating to running,
lifting weights, hitting the gym, and maybe even Yoga.
So I am going to do the downward-facing dog.
Ehh, maybe not.
Now the final thing is going to be motivation.
"Drop down and give me 10 you lazy piece of crap!"
"Push it Push it Come on you can do more than that!"
I need motivation and I need lots of it and this is where I could really use your help.
