Oh hey, I didn't see you there. Welcome to Southside Parlor. My name is Johnathon. Today
we are talking about four staple glasses that we utilize here in the Southside Parlor. Our
coupe glasses, rocks glass, and our highball. Coupe glasses. Our classic and the egg white.
Notable for the strong base, narrow stem, and the bowl. Drinks in this glass generally
have no ice in them. The bowl and the narrow stem are meant to compensate for body temperature
so your hand does not warm up the drink. Keeps the drink cool longer. Egg white glass in
particular has a larger bowl, allows for more froth and drinks consisting of egg white.
Rocks glass. Name comes from rocks or ice with drinks that go in this glasses. The classic
cocktail glass for classic cocktails. Also is an old fashioned glass that holds old fashions.
And our highball. Long drinks. Know for small surface area for carbonation drinks, Carbonated
drinks. Allows for less loss of bubbles. These glasses come at 5 ounces, 7 ounces, 10 ounces,
and 10 ounces. I hope you learned something today, and that every drink has a proper cocktail
glass for it. Hope to see you again, come on out and see these glasses in person. Until
then, see ya...
