Hi my name is Rachel Deon for Expert Village. Let's see how to tell when the jams is ready.
We see the fruits lots it's color and lost it's transparent look to it. Let's do a little
taste. We take some of the liquid with a spoon we put it on a plate, then we're going to
wait a few minutes to see if the liquid has become thick. As the jam cools it becomes
much thicker but right after cooking this is how it should look. The recipe I'm making
today is from plums the very pectin. What is pectin, pectin is a natural ingredient
that found in fruit which makes the mixture to ogulate and become thick. It can also be
bought in stores as powder form. This combine with the amount of sugar will determine how
thick the jelly is.
