I'm so glad you watching this video today this is an amazing charity i wanna talk
about your gonna absolutely love
and I want you to get behind these people support them and help 'em in any way
you possibly can
but first things first if you haven't subscribed to my channel get that done
now we need you apart of our community
so go up here Subscribe, get part of the blog read everything we're doing
but lets get to what we're really here for so if you don't recognize this logo
you're gonna learn a ton about it right now
and Brett is gonna tell of all about what they're doing
and how they're changing the world for cyclists take it away
thank you yes it's the Wood River bike Coalition
and we are based here in the Wood River Valley and we do all sorts of
advocacy work for biking for biking recreationally and for transportation
we're working on our trail system that recently burnt we had a huge fire
over a hundred thousand acres just burn and so we have a lot of work in front of us
a lot of trail we have
In conjunction with BLM and the forest service So I'm gona interrupt you for five seconds because
you're probably don't know where the Wood River
location is so lets explains that part first okay
We've got people from all over the world okay go ahead
Wood River Valley is in central Idaho south-central Idaho
it's the Sun Valley is in the Wood River Valley
and it's a great a great spot It's a piece of heaven on earth never been here it's
amazing
it's excellent, its wonderful so pretty! it's beautiful
yet so tell me what you do I mean how do you work what are you trying to do what do you
need money for how do we find you I mean common lets get into this We are a little non-profit
and we do
we work on trails we work on biking for transportation biking around town any
sort of Safe Routes to School
and I rode one today amazing yeah yeah the riding around here is just fabulous we just
last fall became a
ethic ride center through IMBA silver status so we're really proud of
that and
we're working a lot with BLM and forest service on keeping some trails open
land management issues things like that how do we get involved?
you can find us at woodriverbike.org
and sign up and for our newsletters become members
yeah and what does that do? that helps us
get our work done because we are non-profit so we depend on memberships
good depend on donations
awesome so you all know that I'm here for the Rebecca Rush Private Idaho
and this is one of the charities that some that money's going to
so let's talk about that really quick what will you do with those funds? We will
I think first and foremost is do trail rehab since we did lose a lot of
a lot of mileage of trails in the fire in August
so this fall and in the spring we're gonna be working with
with the local land agencies public land agencies to do trail rehab
to make that happen
so awesome yeah thank you all you doing for all of us
and once again check them out lets give them the URL one more time where they can find
its woodriver
woodriverbike.org
go check 'em out check out all their stuff
give us feedback if there's another chapter in your area that you want some
questions or you are wondering what they're doing reach out to them they'll help you out
and let's get cycling to a whole new level for everybody thanks for watching
this
