Hi, my name is Tim Myers. I'm with The Boeing Corporation, uh, specifically with Boeing Capital. My role at Boeing is to search out global financing for our customers that buy aircraft, uh, specifically the commercial aircraft that we sell. Um, I've been doing this for a number of years. We at the Boeing Company export this year--um, or will deliver about 600 aircraft, uh, both narrow bodies and wide bodies. That touches every corner of the globe when you think about where we export. Boeing is the largest exporter in the U.S., um, but we're also all about supporting those small business enterprises as well. We - - in the U.S. alone 8400 small business enterprises. In 2011 we shipped--uh, we received about four and a half billion dollars worth of product from those small business enterprises. What Ex-Im Bank allows us to do is to maintain a level playing field with the other manufacturers that we compete with. Um, export credit is often required before you even get to the negotiating table with many of our customers. Um, the expertise that Ex-Im Bank has is by far, uh, I think, the world's best. Uh, we have a portfolio, uh--the U.S. taxpayers have a portfolio that delivers, uh, every year profits to the U.S. Treasury. And they do that by supporting the exporters like the Boeing Company, and specifically our customer base. Um, the ex--the financing guarantees that Ex-Im provides are to our customers, not to The Boeing. Uh, it allows us to, uh, export products. For every billion dollars of exports that Boeing provides, it creates over 6,000 jobs in the U.S. alone. So this is about creating jobs and sustaining jobs. Boeing doesn't want to put financing on the table. Boeing needs financiers to do that. Ex-Im Bank with its global expertise is able to touch markets that a lot of the commercial banks won't even go near. Um, if Boeing had to do that on its own, it's taking dollars out of the table--off the table for us to create new technologies and better products, which is where--what is going to maintain, maintain our competiveness going forward. One of the programs that we're very excited about Ex-Im Bank recently launched is the Supply Chain Financing Program. This is just in its infancy. I believe it's funded its first, uh, loan here just recently and will support those small business entities and other suppliers that are involved in the Boeing supply chain. So thank you again to Ex-Im.
