The 'Seat Fitting Kits' table is located at the bottom of your vehicle page.
This table helps us to find fitting kits that we need for our vehicle based on
which seat we would like to install
which seat we are replacing and where we would like to install it.
You'll notice on the right hand side of the that we have made some recommendations
on seats that we think would be great for your vehicle.
There are two main types of seats that can be installed
Static seats
which are replacement seats that don't have an integrated suspension system
and
Suspension seats
which are seats with an integrated suspension system and can come in 2 forms
(1) Air Suspension (2) Mechanical suspension
(but thats not important here)
Looking at our Seat Fitting Kits table
we can see in our first column 'Seat Type'.
This is the type of seat that our fitting kit is designed to work with.
Suspension seat
for suspension seat
And Static seat
for static seat
This first line indicates
that that this fitting kit is designed to work with a suspension seat.
The second column
indicates the side of the vehicle that we want to install the seat.
There can be a few options here
Driver side
Passenger side
or even Middle seat
It is important to note that this is a right-hand drive vehicle
as it was released in Australia.
This means that the driver's side is on the right-hand side of the vehicle.
In the next column
'Original seat' refers to the type of seat you are replacing.
'Bucket seat'
(a single seat)
'Bench seat'
which could mean a double or triple seat
or a 'Bucket swivel' seat.
The next column refers to Armrests.
As many of our seats can have armrests installed on them its important to know
if they will fit in our vehicle when installed.
Centre consoles and limited space can mean that armrests won't fit into particular applications.
In this case, on the 79 series Landcruiser
using a suspension seat...
we can fit right-hand and left-hand armrests.
The next column is our Part Number for
the fitting kit you need to install this seat
into your vehicle.
Following that we have the Recommended Retail Price
this is an Australian dollars (including GST)
The last column is and 'Notes' section which gives us some general information
that we might need to know concerning this particular fitting kit.
From time to time you'll see
other columns such as 'Specific seat'
This means that there's a purpose-built seat or a Conversion kit for your vehicle
Because these seats are purpose built, you don't need any other fitting kit with these seats.
