I'm here with a Glock 26 Gen 4 and just wanted to
do it real short video a on breaking down cleaning this
Glock 26 I'll show you how I do it
I probably do it red line it with the manual is
a maybe a couple things differently but but not much
on it's pretty simple process I'm so let me get started
first thing you want to do music safety check
pistol a looks like we're safe here so
breakdown pointed in a safe direction
you know pull the trigger then you gonna go ahead and
get a good grip on your pistol like this and just slide it back in May
have an edge pull down on these two tasks so I did out
you're home free ops was great break this down into its main components here
so the first thing I like to do
is get my barrel go on
sort of do is i'll take the the clock cleaning rod here and the
nylon brush other should come with your pistol
and if this is a brand new set up though
what I like to do it you don't have to do this is
just take a little bit GOP put on that thread
this now on personal a so that when you screw it
into the handle on it's it's gonna screw easily
but also so that it will allow the bristles at this brush
to track with the a the rifling
love the barrel maybe doesn't make a difference
a.m. maybe it probably doesn't but that's the way that I like to do it
and so I'm just let you know that that's how I do it I just have a problem with
running a brush even if it's not I'll on you know
cross the rifling a barrel you know you want it
if possible to to stay with that
that rifling in and push out whatever may be in there
no so go ahead and do that you can take this brush
run it through their you know five six ten times whatever makes you happy
army no go ahead and check it out looking
see it looks like you get any loose debris
honor their next thing i'll do is i'll take my
ICOP I liked the *** there's a lot of different products out there I'm sure
all the more
but this is the 1i use Safari land break free CEOP
doesn't permit I'll a
so go ahead now take a a patch and
get wet Seal p and just get the outside the barrel
a good and wet and then I'll just set this aside and I'll just let it so
a start to break down any of that
sedimentary minutes that's built up on their
next thing i'll do is i'll take a
clean toothbrush and I go ahead and I take my side and make sure this is a
clean toothbrush you want something with oil on it
go ahead and and brush out a
the a slide and also frame
the the test or here you're gonna want to get this is Kylie chickens
a take your time you know you can manipulate some other parts
here too to give yourself some room and good as you get this cleaned out
us something I like to do is I'll use either compressed air or
if you don't have compressed air the maybe even a vacuum
up to you know suck out some the
the stuff that year cleanup the frame here
go ahead and do the same thing with this a lot
you know take clean toothbrush just
clean this up especially can a loose debris its
you're gonna save yourself some time later working with patch
a when you're ready to to put COPO here
so go ahead and do that same thing with your spring assembly here
you know you don't really want to get this way want to keep it
keep it dry and keep it clean so you know maybe take it you
Russian you know clean clean this up a little bit you know
a clean rag like this thing down said
decide you don't need to go to Knotts with this so after
your barrel this Sat for a bit
this is probably upgrading it cleaned up so
could take a rag or patches you know you can
clean up the exterior the
the barrels as best she can get get a good plane on
and I'm a star with the you know runs patches
a through the Barrow so they had it yourself clean patch
CEOP you know run it through here
get it wet you may even find that you want to
you know get wet with some brainer
in Leuven and let that sit for a while it's it's really very
so go ahead just run patches through this and until
you know they start to come out clean and you know you can look into the light
see that you've got a clean Barrow once it's good clean
one last patch through with the like a light gun oil
or have a legacy OP that will do as well on
and then your you done with the the Barrow
with the slide guy at Newbury removed the the heavy debris with this thing
so go ahead and get some
CEO Pierre cleaner and
you know started working inside this a
the rails and started to screen out as much as this is a candidate
they're gonna get dirty and there's there some small places for some degree
it hung up
to take your time and do the job something that I like to use in
I know some guys are probably bar about it but it's what I do
you know I use cotton's while to get in here
clean clean summer this stuff out
you know I don't know what the complaint is where
you know they're afraid that the cotton is gonna burst into flames if it's left
inside there but
you know if you're going to use a cotton swab a
you know just make sure you know I leave anything behind in there
but this is this is a good way to to get decided this
clean it out as best she can you know you're not going to want to get in any
a oil cleaner into any moving parts here said just
be mindful that you know those are gonna
get gummed up in and collectively later if you leave a whole bunch excess oil or
clean air in there so
you know don't even go down there you just some clean brushes and and clean it
up in
you'll be in good shape
so what you got those things accomplished a.m. what you gonna want to
do
is you're a lubricate this thing according to the specs
the manufacture and in terms of Glock blocks
they run pretty dry don't have to get these things soaking wet with oil so
I'll just run through what i do to lubricate them it may not be is
exactly what boxes to do but this is how I do it
so on you don't want to take some
oil not much drop you know I'll
get it on narrowly here and
you can just who's on there which finger and and get the top of the barrel
with a very very light coat a oil
annexed by you can wanna is on inside the sly
just ahead of the ejection port on a top
you know drop of oil in there and just very very
in you know spread that out in the top of the the slide here
and what that's going to do is that's gonna keep it duplicated when
this society cycling back and the top era para la
is it's moving back and forth in there
again very very light duplication don't overdo it you really don't need to
so at this point it's okay to go ahead and start put this thing together
just shall stop this back in
take your spring assembly your pop this back in place
just be mindful there's to noches here to levels on your barrel
you gonna wanna see it down in the half moon shape deepest
notch otherwise Springs not gonna
she properly and you're gonna have trouble but nothing back together so
get this situated in this assembly back together
last thing you want to do is move up some spots on the
frame itself and what I do is like to lubricate
on for spots along
the for a morale here just diesel for guys
on very very little oil you know so take it
you know just a drop a at most
on those four spot your put this thing back together
so lined it up
back together and you know pistols ready to go again
so next thing out there I'll just catch titled
I'll see what's may be too wet
and I'll go back with the with iraq maybe just try to clean up a spot where
there might be too much
oil you're dead you know a lot of time to these pistols these
carry peace and just bear in mind that a
you know you don't want to have a whole bunch excess oil getting all over your
clothing
you know you're taking this with you every day where you go you know what i
was thinkin like gun oil or
cleaner and you don't have to step on your clothing so
you know go easy on it you're ready to go
get out there and sling some lead
