How to apply for a TEDx licence
So the first question that came to my mind is
what do I need to know when I fill out the form on TED.com?
I started reading through all the guidelines and rules,
talk to my team about what type of event we wanted to have,
what speakers we wanted to have.
We didn't know how to name our event.
Following the TEDx guidelines you can name your event
after a street, a city or an institution.
A question I had was
how many people can I have in my TED event.
If you've never been to a TED event than
the answer is less than 100.
But if you have been to TEDActive, TEDGlobal or the main TED
then you can have over a 100 people at your event.
My first question was which license do we choose.
I applied for standard event and
then I discovered about event for university.
And I'm really interested in event for kids.
Finally I was done, and I clicked submit,
then I wondered: "Now what?"
After you submitted your application
you may not hear back from TED for a while --
but don't worry, they carefully review every application
and you will hear back from them.
Now that you know what to expect,
go ahead and apply!
