The trick to getting a graceful N is to twist the pen. And the pen twisting, creates a letter
that looks like this as opposed to a letter that looks like this. So if the natural pen
angle here is 40 degrees, which will give us a fairly thick line like this, we are going
to twist the pen angle up higher. So that when we make the first stroke of the N, it's
a narrower stroke. Then we are going to use the regular pen angle here, twist high again
here and make a thin stroke. That way we get a letter that matches the flow of thick and
thin that we have in the other letters. So, a little device for remembering that the N
starts out with a twisted stroke is to think, N for narrow when you start this letter. If
you do that, then you'll twist your pen angle, you'll make a thin stroke and the next stroke
will be fat. As naturally happens because of the diagonal of the stroke. There you go.
