In this clip we're going to talk a little bit about barn doors. Barn doors control the
spill of light as a lot of modifiers do, but these do it just by closing in from the side
of your reflector to kind of control exactly where the light is going to be. If these are
closed way down they can get warm from the modeling light so you have to be really, really
careful about that. Once again these are very proprietary. The ones that are made for your
strobe head is the one you need to buy because if you get something else, unless you want
to do a lot of modification to it, they're just not going to fit right. They do have
some that just snap on to the reflectors. These particular ones are made to where they
are part of this reflector and they just modify the light and keep the light from going where
you don't want it to go. The light can wrap around these some it's not an extreme control.
You're not going to get a fine edge control on it because the lights bouncing around inside
the reflector, but it is kind of a general control. If, with this kind of configuration
you can have a person, here and a person here and the person on this side would be darker.
