My name is Tooka Kherykhah, on Executive MBA 2010 intake, and I have recently handed over
my business master project. The subject is how luxury fashion brands should use digital
media in Dubai to communicate with their audience. I've been working for the BBC for the past
five years, in BBC advertising, and responsibility for the MENA region. BBC Advertising is part
of BBC Worldwide, which is a commercial arm of the BBC. We are in charge of selling the
BBC commercial components. I've always wanted to continue my education
in business studies, in order to gain more in depth knowledge in various business assets,
and at the same time staying in my job. The reputation of the school was very important
for me, and Cass Executive MBA, being a highly ranked programme and triple crowned accreditation,
being based in the financial heart of Dubai has ticked many of the key boxes for me.
Also, the elective courses available to us has made the course more interesting -- we
had the option to choose the electives in one of the selected countries -- say, in the
US, in South Africa, China, or in the UK. I've selected to take mine in London, which
has been a great experience as well. Cass has provided me the opportunity to receive
a high level business education, without requiring leaving Dubai, or stepping out of my job.
I could benefit from the same level of quality education and a great faculty that Cass students
in London are benefitting from, but just fifteen minutes drive away from my house.
I've really enjoyed the course, and I have learnt so much through the course material
and the expertise of the faculty. Most importantly I've met so many amazing
people, so many professionals from the whole region, with different backgrounds and cultures
and I have learnt so much through working with these individuals and through the teamwork.
I've also made some great friends, and expanded my professional network, which has been a
great part of this journey.
