Hello,
My name is Jon Lewis with DryerNotHeating.net, and in this tutorial I', going to show you
how to fix your Whilrpool Cabrio F1 error. The first thing that you will want to do is
to unplug your dryer from the wall outlet so you don't shock yourself or damage anymore
componets inside of your dryer. The first thing we are going to do.. This is a picture
of a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine. I didn't get a snapshot of the dryer, but it is made
quite similar to the dryer, same way to access the control panel. There are two screws though
in the back of the dryer on the left and the right. Once you have your dryer unpluged from
the wall outlet, you can move it away from the wall and get back behind there and unscrew
these two screws. They are Philips head and once you have them unscrewed you can remove
the control panel and be able to see your control board.
The things that we will be looking for, sometimes the F1 error is caused because one of these
plugs are unplugged from the control board. Basically, what the F1 error is, and you can
have this with the washing machine, dryer, and other Whirlpool products. The F1 error
means there is a communication error between the control board and other componets in your
appliance. So what we are looking for is maybe a loose plug, maybe a wire that is unhooked
or cut or any of these sort of things. If you can access the inside of your dryer, you
can kind of look around in there, but most of your problem will probably be found in
the control board area.
If you find that all your plugs are intact and everything is all good, more than likely,
and the most common cause of the F1 error is the control board itself needs to be replaced.
And to do that all you have to do is unplug this plugs here. And once you have them unpluged,
there is a 1/4" screw that we unscrew and you will see there are plastic tabs here that
hold in the control board. If you are standing behind your dryer, just push your control
board to the right and these tabs release. You can then replace your control board. So
if you click the link in my description you can go to my website and find a search box
where you can find the correct control board for your dryer or washing machine. You can
go there and search it and find it. And also I give you instructions on where to purchase
your control board with the 365 day return policy. So if you purchase the control board
and find it doesn't fix your problem, you can return it.
That's about all I have to say about that. Again you can visit my website dryernotheating.net
for more information on any of your dryer issues. Thanks for watching and I hope this
video helped you fix your Whirlpool Cabrio F1 error problem.
