How can I find out which impact assessment methods include a certain substance?
For example, I would like to check whether Arsenic is included in the method EPS 2000, or any other impact assessment method.
Go to Substances, under General data.
Select Arsenic and click Used by.
A list will appear with all objects that use Arsenic -
in this case, four impact assessment methods, including EPS 2000.
You can also check in which impact categories the substance is used.
If you click Go to, you will be directed to the Methods section
and you can see that EPS 2000 is already selected.
Click View and go to the Characterization tab.
Click Find text at the bottom of the window
and type in the substance name.
The substance name will be highlighted, along with the impact category it is found in.
So for example, we can see that Arsenic is included in the impact category 'life expectancy'.
It is also included in 'severe morbidity' and 'depletion of reserves'.
