bjbjU Stop 480 Family tour Anthem of Joy Technique Final Narrator: Glass is an amazing material.
I ll bet you didn t know that these delicate spires of glass are made out of the same glass
used in test tubes! Bill: The Anthem of Joy started as pieces of glass tubing of different
sizes. The glass tubing was heated and then pulled to create these points you see. Kid
1: But how did all the tubes get connected together? Bill: The glassblower attached a
rubber (hose) to the end of one of these spires m not sure which one so that as each tube
was joined to the next, he used a hand torch to soften the glass and the blow hose to inflate
the glass to make the (connection between each tube) (very smooth). Finally, the glassblower
would have heated the side of one of these bubbles and used tweezers to pull out the
point that aims outward. Kid 2: This kind of looks like a bunch of raindrops splashing
on the street. Kid 1: Or maybe a castle made out of glass! Narrator: What does Anthem of
Joy remind you of? Stop 1 Family tour Morgan Cup Linda Normal.dot Linda Microsoft Word
