Today on our 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, we will be test fitting the sportrack platform style
for bike rack for 2 inch hitches. Part number SR2902. To begin our test fit, we will side
the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch lining up our pinholes and
our application reveals the first hole giving us the maximum amount of clearance. We will
then thread in our anti-rattle ball and tighten it with a wrench. The lowest point of the
bike rack will give you about 23 inches of ground clearance. Here at the rear, we got
about 27 1/4. The closest point of the bike rack to the back of the suburban is about
9 1/2 inches and over all we've added about 44 inches to the total length. We well
not pull the 2 pins in the front portion of our bike rack allowing the front wheel cradles
to fold down then we'll move to the rear and repeat the same process. While we're
hear at the rear, we'll go ahead and pull the pin for the center mask allowing it to
fold out of the way and then do the same on the front. Giving us full access to our rear
hatch. With out mask back in it's up right position, we will extend the frame hooks to
the top of the mask and undo the wheel straps.
