This tutorial is going to show how to add three
crochet stitches together
I have a little sample swatch here of approximately fourteen double crochet
I am going to chain one, turn
and work the first double crochet in the side
most of the time I edit my errors out of the video for the purposes of time
but when I do mess up, I just take it out and work the stitch again
work the first double crochet in the first stitch
to work three double crochet together
wrap the yarn over your hook
put it through the first stitch
wrap the yarn over, pull through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
leave the two remaining loops on the hook
wrap the yarn over your hook
put it through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over, pull it through
wrap the yarn over pull through two loops
there are three loops on the hook
leave the three loops on your hook
wrap the yarn over, put it through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
there are four loops on your hook
wrap the yarn over, pull through all four loops
this joins three stitches together
now if you go on and do the same thing over the next three stitches
this is what it will look like
put your hook through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
wrap the yarn over, put it through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over pull it through
wrap the yarn over pull through two loops
there are three loops on your hook
wrap the yarn over, put your hook through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
there are four loops on the hook
wrap the yarn over, pull through all four loops
and this joins three more stitches together
the purpose for joining these stitches together
will be for shaping or reducing the amount of stitches you are using
you can see how it is starting to curve here at the bottom
I will do the same stitch over the next three
put the hook in the top of the next stitch, wrap the yarn over, pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
wrap the yarn over, put the hook through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over, pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
wrap the yarn over, put the hook through the next stitch
wrap the yarn over, pull it through
wrap the yarn over, pull through two loops
there are four loops on the hook
wrap the yarn over, pull through all four loops
we have completed one more set
of joining three double crochet at the top of the stitch
you can see how it takes on even more of a curve shape
