You know in poker, no matter the game variance. It is important to know what a good starting
hand is, and what a bad starting hand is. The thing about Omaha, whether its fixed limits
or pot limit, is that hope seems to spring eternal. Because you get four starting cards
and you can use your best two for the given board. And so, you'll find that most people
will come to the table and play a lot of hands. And the funny thing is, since there are so
many options and it is very hard to gain a real statistical advantage in Omaha, you actually
need to play tighter. If you're someone who plays a little loose in Texas Holdem, when
you sit down and play Omaha Holdem, you need to play really tight. Let?s talk about a couple
of good starting hands. It?s important to note that there are as many as more than thirty
good starting hands for pot limit Omaha. Because you are starting with four cards. But there
are many many more times than thirty bad starting hands. So I'm not going to lay out, obviously,
thirty plus hands. But let?s talk about a couple of really good ones. And what you are
looking for are four cards that all work together.
