>> James Perdue: My name's James and I'm from Tennessee.
When we were growing up, we had dreams of what we wanted to do for our lives.
But what if you were told you would never walk again?
You might not be able to move from your neck down.
What if your family was advised to place you in a nursing home because you'd be too much
of a burden for them to care for?
While you're thinking about what you would do, this is what happened during my life.

My American dream -- or should I say our American dream.
Up, Ricardo.
This is Ricardo, my service dog.
Ricardo, look over there.
No. Look over there, yeah.
Our American dream is to inspire people with disabilities to get out in the community.
Let's have our children that have disabilities playing with other children.
Let's have our wounded warriors coming back, let them know that life is worth living.
Let's get people to realize to persevere past their paralysis to be successful in life.
Our American dream is to help other people and encourage them to be successful in life.
Ricardo, we want people to vote.
Say "vote."
Good boy.
