The week in politics was largely around the audit report
into the Kohanga Reo National Trust,
and the Serious Fraud Office inquiry
that will now look into the spending at Te Pataka Ohanga.
So just how has Education Minister Hekia Parata handled it?
Political reporter Irena Smith has the wrap of the week.
The Minister of Education
only had one message on Tuesday night...
But it was a different story the next day.
Perhaps Pita Sharples was dialling his advisors.
But Nanaia had him in her sights.
Despite Hekia's advice,
a board member has yet to front the media.
But Derek Fox spoke on their behalf.
It has not been mishandled or used fraudulently.
As for TPO, that's a separate issue.
On to other news,
Hone Harawira said he met with Kim Dotcom.
He isn't the only Maori who's met him.
The House will be in recess for two weeks
and it looks like there will be more political issues
coming up over the horizon.
