Hi, today I'm going to talk about the basic of how to create a diet that is suitable for
a person who is diabetic. So firstly, you should not eat more than what
you are suppose to eat. Which mean you must always be aware of how much calories you need
to consume in a day? This is because most of the type 2 diabetes case happened when
you are overweight or obese. Secondly, what you need to do is to choose
your source of carbohydrate wisely. Complex carbs such as whole grains is much preferable
compare to simple carbs. It is because complex carbs takes longer time to process inside
our body and it can regulate our body insulin level.
you should not avoid fats as well but then this doesn't mean that you can go all on fats. Healthy
fats such as Omega-3, omega-6 which is commonly get from fish and nuts is highly recommended
to be consumed. You should not avoid protein as well in your
diet. You can get your protein source from chicken , fish or eggs.
Well, at the end of the day, no matter what you do in your diet, you need to always remember
that your body is no longer able to produce enough insulin to process the amount of glucose
you consume. So you have to make sure that you need to keep your insulin level regulated.
And besides that, remember to exercise always in order to bring your body weight down.
